The R52-8PA8 records up to 32MP across 8 channels and ships with 8TB pre-installed -- two SATA bays allow expansion to 32TB. It runs recorder-side analytics (iMD, VCA, Face Recognition) without relying on camera processing, keeping high-accuracy coverage even in mixed-camera environments. ONVIF and RTSP interoperability means it fits alongside existing camera investments, while LumiCloud integration provides remote access and LumiViewer handles both desktop and mobile monitoring.

System requirements

The R52-8PA8 connects cameras directly via its 8 integrated PoE ports (IEEE 802.3 af/at, 130W total output). One Gigabit Ethernet port handles upstream network connectivity. LumiSearch+ requires LumiSearch+-enabled cameras -- note that activating LumiSearch+ disables Analytics by Recorder, Local Fisheye Dewarp, and the NVR face database (IP cameras retain their own face database access). LumiCloud Lite is included; LumiCloud Unity subscriptions are sold separately.
