Supporting cameras up to 32MP and decoding up to 12 simultaneous 4MP streams, it ships with 4TB pre-installed and is ready to record the day it goes in the rack.

NDAA compliant and ONVIF-compatible, the R52-8PA4 drops into mixed-camera environments without forcing a camera swap. Eight LumiPower PoE ports push power and data up to 3,000 feet — no midspan injectors, no extra power runs needed on sprawling campuses, parking structures, or warehouse floors. LumiSearch+ runs AI person search across all 8 channels: supply a reference image, and the NVR locates where that person appeared across all recorded footage by body shape and clothing color. Face recognition, VCA, license plate recognition, and intelligent motion detection all process on-recorder, keeping the system self-contained and the server rack light.

System requirements

The R52-8PA4 connects to the local network via a single GbE port (10/100/1000 Mbps). Cameras attach directly to the 8 onboard PoE ports. Remote monitoring uses LumiViewer (desktop) and the LumiViewer Mobile App. LumiCloud Lite is included; LumiCloud Unity subscriptions are sold separately. Activating LumiSearch+ disables Analytics by Recorder, local fisheye dewarp, and the NVR face database — IP cameras retain their own face database access.
