The Omada SL2428P is a Smart switch with 24 10/100 Mbps PoE+ ports, four Gigabit uplink ports and a 250 W budget, aimed at camera and phone jobs where Fast Ethernet is enough for every endpoint. Two of the uplinks are combo RJ45/SFP ports, so fiber is an option, and it is managed in the same Omada site as the gateway and APs.
Built for cameras and phones on Fast Ethernet
All 24 PoE+ ports run at 10/100 Mbps, which covers most IP cameras and phones at a lower cost per port than a Gigabit PoE switch. Two Gigabit RJ45 ports and two Gigabit combo RJ45/SFP ports handle the NVR and the uplink. 802.1Q VLANs, static routing, ACLs and 802.1X cover segmented camera, voice and guest networks, and the 1U steel case mounts in a 19-inch rack with the included brackets.
Key features
- 24 PoE+ ports, 250 W total: up to 30 W per port at 10/100 Mbps for cameras and phones
- Four Gigabit uplinks: two RJ45 ports and two combo RJ45/SFP ports for the NVR and fiber
- Perpetual and Fast PoE: devices stay powered through a switch reboot and power up early on a cold start
- VLANs, static routing and ACLs: up to 4K VLAN groups and 32 IPv4/IPv6 static routes
- Rackmount: brackets, screws and feet included
- Omada management: zero-touch provisioning and batch firmware upgrades through the cloud controller
System requirements
Powered from 100-240V AC with the included power cord. Powered devices must be 802.3af or 802.3at compliant, and the 24 PoE+ ports link at 10/100 Mbps only. Centralized management needs an Omada Cloud-Based Controller (firmware 5.15.22 or later), Omada hardware controller or Omada Software Controller (5.15.20 or later); zero-touch provisioning needs the cloud controller. Without a controller the switch runs standalone from its own web interface and CLI.
