The Omada Pro AP7650 puts AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 and three wired Gigabit jacks in a wall-plate form factor, so one cable run to a hotel room, dorm or office gives the room both strong Wi-Fi and wired ports for a TV, phone or desk. One downlink port passes PoE through to a powered device such as an IP phone.

Built for the hospitality and MDU installer

The AP7650 runs on 802.3af or 802.3at PoE from the closet switch and mounts on the wall with the included kit. Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 delivers up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz with OFDMA and 120+ concurrent clients. It is part of the Omada Pro line, so it is managed from the Omada Pro Cloud-Based Controller or Omada Pro Software Controller with zero-touch provisioning, multi-site management and WIDS/WIPS for large property portfolios.

Key features

  • One drop, Wi-Fi plus wired: Gigabit uplink and three Gigabit downlink jacks at the wall
  • PoE passthrough: one downlink port powers a PoE device when the AP is fed 802.3at PoE+
  • AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6: OFDMA, beamforming, band steering and airtime fairness
  • Room-level security: PPSK, 802.1X, WPA3, client isolation and WIDS/WIPS through the controller
  • Zero-touch provisioning with the Omada Pro Cloud-Based Controller, no tech needed on site to configure
  • Wall-plate mounting kit included

System requirements

Requires an Omada Pro controller (the Omada Pro Cloud-Based Controller or Omada Pro Software Controller); Omada Pro devices are not managed by the standard Omada controllers. Power from an 802.3af/at PoE switch; PoE out on the downlink requires 802.3at PoE+ input.

FAQs

Can the AP7650 be managed by a regular Omada controller?
No. It is an Omada Pro device and needs the Omada Pro Cloud-Based Controller or Omada Pro Software Controller.
Can it power a device plugged into it?
Yes. One of the three downlink ports supplies PoE out, as long as the AP itself is powered by 802.3at PoE+.
Does it need a power adapter?
No adapter is included or needed. It powers from an 802.3af or 802.3at PoE switch or injector.
How many wired ports does it have?
One Gigabit uplink and three Gigabit downlink ports, so a room gets Wi-Fi plus three wired connections from one cable run.
Does it support per-room Wi-Fi passwords?
Yes. PPSK gives each room or tenant its own key on a shared SSID, managed from the Omada Pro controller.
