The Kidde APS6A delivers 6.5 amps of filtered, regulated 24 VDC power for notification appliance circuits and auxiliary loads on commercial fire alarm systems. Four independently supervised Class B outputs (convertible to two Class A) let you expand NAC capacity without replacing the main panel - each circuit handles 3 amps with self-restoring overcurrent protection, and dual-input activation means you can drive the APS from the existing FACP's NAC or from a separate signaling circuit.

The APS6A mounts in the standard Kidde Commercial keyed lockable steel cabinet and accommodates up to two 24 Ah batteries internally. External battery cabinet options (BC-1) extend standby capacity up to 65 Ah for longer secondary power requirements. Genesis and Enhanced Integrity notification appliance synchronization is supported out of the box, with 3-3-3 temporal or continuous signal rate options.

System requirements
The APS6A requires 120VAC input (220-240VAC model available as APS6A/230). It accepts sense input from an existing NAC (6 to 45 VDC) to follow the main panel's signal pattern. A 200 mA dedicated auxiliary output provides continuous 24 VDC for ancillary loads. Factory-installed Signature module mounting brackets support up to two SIGA-AA30 or SIGA-AA50 dual-channel audio amplifiers or GSA-series modules for expanded system integration.
