Kidde | Analog Addressable Single Input Mini Module for FX Series SLC | FX-IDC1B

No reviews yet Write a Review
SKU:
KD-FX-IDC1B

The FX-IDC1B connects one conventional initiating device circuit to a Kidde FX Series SLC loop, letting installers bring 2-wire smoke detectors, pull stations, waterflow switches, and other contact devices onto an intelligent addressable system without replacing them. Mini form factor fits tight spaces above ceilings and inside junction boxes where full-size modules won't go.

Built for the fire alarm installer

Powered directly from the SLC loop (15-32 VDC) with no additional power supply required. Two rotary decade switches set the address (0-159) without a laptop or programming tool. The onboard LED confirms communication status at a glance during commissioning and troubleshooting. UL and ULC listed for commercial fire alarm applications.

Key features

  • Monitors one Class B IDC: brings conventional 2-wire and 4-wire detectors, pull stations, and waterflow switches onto the SLC loop
  • Mini form factor: fits above ceilings, inside junction boxes, and other tight spaces where standard modules won't work
  • SLC loop powered: no separate power supply needed, simplifying wire runs
  • Rotary address switches: set addresses 0-159 mechanically - no programming software required on site
  • LED status indicator: visual confirmation of communication and alarm status during install and service

System requirements

Requires a Kidde FX Series fire alarm control panel with an available SLC loop circuit. Compatible with FX-3500, FX-3318, and other FX Series FACPs.

What devices can the FX-IDC1B monitor?
The FX-IDC1B monitors one Class B initiating device circuit. It supports conventional 2-wire and 4-wire smoke detectors, manual pull stations, waterflow switches, and other normally-open or normally-closed contact devices.
Does this module need a separate power supply?
No. The FX-IDC1B draws power directly from the SLC loop (15-32 VDC). No additional power wiring is required at the module.
How do I set the SLC address?
Two rotary decade switches on the module set the address from 0 to 159. No laptop or programming tool is needed - rotate the dials to the desired address before connecting to the SLC loop.
What fire alarm panels is this compatible with?
The FX-IDC1B works with Kidde FX Series fire alarm control panels, including the FX-3500, FX-3318, and FX-64. It connects to any available SLC loop circuit on these FACPs.
What is the difference between the FX-IDC1B and FX-IDC2A?
The FX-IDC1B monitors a single Class B initiating device circuit. The FX-IDC2A monitors two Class A initiating device circuits. Choose based on how many IDC zones you need at that location and whether Class A (redundant path) wiring is required.
