The FX-ISO keeps the SLC loop online when a wire-to-wire short would otherwise take down the entire circuit. It monitors line voltages continuously and opens the loop at the fault point, isolating the short between the two nearest isolator modules while the rest of the system stays fully operational. One address per module, set with a screwdriver on the front-face rotary switches.

No additional power supply, no special cable - the module draws directly from the SLC loop at 175 A standby. Address it via the rotary TENS and ONES dials, wire to P1 and P2 screw terminals, and mount on a standard 4" square electrical box. Compatible with all KIR detectors and FX modules on the loop. System requirements
Requires a Kidde FX Series intelligent fire alarm control panel (64-point or 1000-point). Install on a Class A SLC loop with maximum circuit resistance of 6 ohms between isolator modules. Wire with 12-18 AWG (16 and 18 AWG preferred) per NFPA 72 and CAN/ULC-S524.
