The Kidde Genesis LED EGCS ceiling speaker-strobe combines high-output 135-185 cd visual notification with voice and tone audio signaling in a single ceiling-mount appliance. It drops onto a standard 4-inch square electrical box, connects to existing NAC circuits, and ships with a room-side wiring plate so field wiring terminates without pulling the device off the ceiling.

UL 1480 and UL 1971 listed with ULC-S541 and CSFM approvals. The regulated LED strobe maintains consistent flash intensity across the full 16-33 VDC operating range, so candela output stays reliable whether the NAC circuit is lightly loaded or near capacity. Speaker taps are field-selectable between 25VRMS and 70VRMS operation with four wattage settings (1/4W, 1/2W, 1W, 2W) to match riser design without swapping hardware.

System requirements

Connects to fire alarm control panels with standard NAC notification appliance circuits. Synchronization via Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, or compatible Kidde Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels. Mounts to a 2-gang or 4-inch square electrical box (minimum 1-1/2 in. deep). Uses 12-18 AWG field wiring.
