The Kidde Genesis LED EGC Series ceiling mount strobe delivers high-candela visual notification for large open commercial spaces where standard-output devices fall short. Field-selectable 135 or 185 cd output covers the room without stacking multiple devices, cutting install time and material cost on warehouses, atriums, and open-plan offices.

Built for the commercial fire alarm installer

Mounts directly to a standard 4-inch square electrical box with the included room-side wiring plate. Wire connections happen from the room side, not behind the device. Compatible with 16-33V DC regulated or 16-33V FWR unregulated NAC circuits. UL 1971 and ULC-S526 listed. SmartSync technology enables temporal code 3 signaling from a steady NAC output, reducing panel and wiring requirements on retrofit jobs.

Yes. The Genesis LED EGC ceiling strobe operates on any FACP with a regulated 16-33V DC or unregulated 16-33V FWR NAC circuit. SmartSync technology also allows temporal code 3 signaling from a steady NAC output.
What candela settings are available on this model?
This is the high-candela variant with two field-selectable settings: 135 cd and 185 cd. For lower output requirements (15/30/75/115 cd), see the standard EGC ceiling strobe models.
Can I install this outdoors?
No. The Genesis LED EGC ceiling strobe is rated for indoor use only, with an operating temperature range of 32°F to 120°F and humidity tolerance of 10-93% non-condensing.
What electrical box does this mount to?
Standard 4-inch square electrical box. The included room-side wiring plate allows all wire connections from the room side.
Does this model have FIRE marking on the lens?
No. The EGCVHRN is the no-marking variant. If your AHJ requires FIRE marking, order the EGCVHR model instead.
