The Kidde Genesis LED EGC Series high-candela ceiling strobe delivers 135/185 cd output for large open spaces, high ambient environments, and areas where standard-candela appliances fall short of code. Built on the same low-profile LED platform as the standard EGC Series, it draws less current than legacy Xenon strobes - more devices per NAC circuit, fewer booster power supplies, and lower total install cost on new builds and retrofits alike.

Built for the commercial fire installer

UL 1971 listed and designed to meet NFPA 72 synchronization requirements, the EGCVHWF mounts on any standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, or 4-inch square electrical box. The included GP10 room side wiring plate lets you pre-install wiring and verify electrical continuity with the built-in diagnostics check bar before snapping the strobe into place. Operating voltage runs 16 to 33 VDC or 16 to 33 VFWR, compatible with coded and non-coded NAC circuits.

The low-profile form factor protrudes just 1.82 inches from the mounting surface with no visible mounting screws, keeping the install clean and code-compliant. White housing with red FIRE lettering meets standard marking requirements out of the box.

Requires 16 to 33 VDC or 16 to 33 VFWR from a fire alarm control panel or NAC booster power supply. Synchronization requires a compatible Kidde CC Series signal module, booster/auxiliary power supply, or intelligent/conventional control panel. Accepts 12 to 18 AWG wiring.

Can I mix this LED strobe with existing Xenon strobes on the same circuit?
Yes. Genesis LED EGC strobes are backward-compatible with legacy Xenon units. Mix LED and Xenon on the same NAC circuit and in the same field of view for phased retrofits without full system replacement.
What electrical boxes does this strobe fit?
The EGCVHWF mounts on standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes. Boxes must be at least 1-1/2 in. (3.81 cm) deep.
How do I verify wiring before mounting the device?
The included GP10 wiring plate has a built-in diagnostics check bar. Pre-install and verify continuity, then snap the strobe into place. Under-cover test points allow circuit testing after mounting.
What synchronization source does this strobe require?
