The Genesis LED EGC Series ceiling strobe delivers field-selectable 15, 30, 75, or 115 candela output from a low-profile LED package that draws just 35 mA on DC circuits. Fewer power supplies, lighter conduit, longer wire runs - the EGC cuts install overhead on new builds and drops right into existing NAC circuits alongside legacy Xenon strobes on retrofit jobs.
Built for the commercial fire installer
UL 1971-listed for indoor ceiling-mount public-mode notification, the EGCVRN is the red housing with no marking - ready for applications where "FIRE" text isn't required or where you need a blank face for a replacement cover. Strobe synchronization exceeds NFPA 72 requirements (within 10 ms over a two-hour period) when paired with a Kidde CC Series synchronization source. The universal GP10 room side wiring plate ships with every unit for pre-wire and continuity verification before the device snaps into place.
Key features
- Ultra-low current draw (35 mA DC): more devices per NAC circuit, fewer booster power supplies, smaller wire gauge
- Field-selectable candela (15/30/75/115 cd): change output under the cover without removing the device from the ceiling
- Backwards compatible with Xenon strobes: mix LED and legacy devices on the same circuit and in the same field of view
- Universal mounting: fits 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes
- Pre-wire ready: GP10 room side wiring plate included with diagnostics check bar for continuity verification
- Quick-swap covers: change housing color or marking (FIRE, ALERT, None) without replacing the device
System compatibility
Synchronizes with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and Kidde Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels. Wire size: 12 to 18 AWG. Maximum 20 Ω between any two synchronized devices.
