The Genesis LED EGC Series ceiling strobe delivers field-selectable 15, 30, 75, or 115 cd output from a low-profile LED platform that draws significantly less current than legacy Xenon strobes. Less current per device means more devices per NAC circuit, fewer booster power supplies, and the ability to run smaller gauge wire on longer runs.

Built for the commercial installer

UL listed for indoor public-mode notification, the EGCVWF mounts to standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes with no special hardware. The included GP10 room side wiring plate lets you pre-wire and verify circuit continuity before snapping the device into place. Under-cover diagnostics test points give you access to the NAC circuit without pulling the device off the ceiling.

Can I mix Genesis LED EGC strobes with existing Xenon strobes on the same circuit?
Yes. EGC LED strobes operate on the same NAC circuit as legacy Xenon-based Genesis strobes. No need to rip and replace existing devices when upgrading part of a building to LED.
How do I change the candela output setting?
Remove the cover with a screwdriver and slide the candela switch to 15, 30, 75, or 115. The device does not need to be removed from the electrical box. The selected setting stays visible through a small window after the cover is reinstalled.
What electrical boxes does this strobe fit?
Standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch octagon, and 4-inch square electrical boxes. Boxes must be at least 1-1/2 in. deep.
Does the FIRE marking come pre-installed?
Yes. The white FIRE marking is factory installed. Markings can be changed using quick-swap replacement covers (sold separately) if the device is repurposed to a different application.
What synchronization sources work with Genesis LED EGC strobes?
Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and Kidde Intelligent and Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels. All Genesis strobes exceed UL synchronization requirements, staying within 10 ms over a two-hour test period.
What is the room side wiring plate and do I need it?
The GP10 room side wiring plate (included) mounts to the electrical box and accepts the NAC circuit wiring before the strobe is installed. It allows you to verify polarity and circuit continuity during rough-in, before the finish device is available.
