The Genesis LED EG4LF Series horn-strobe delivers 520 Hz low frequency audible notification combined with a high-efficiency LED strobe for commercial sleeping areas and other NFPA 72 low frequency applications. This white, non-marked model fits wall-mounted installations where clean aesthetics or custom marking requirements are preferred.
Built for the commercial fire installer
LED strobe technology draws identical current at all candela settings (15, 30, 75, or 110 cd), so you calculate NAC loading once and change the output in the field without recalculating. Compared to Xenon-based strobes, the EG4LF Series requires fewer power supplies, lighter conduit, and smaller wire gauge - and it's backward compatible with legacy Xenon devices on the same circuit and field of view. That makes it a fit for new installations and retrofit work alike.
The horn outputs up to 83 dBA at 520 Hz with selectable high/low volume and temporal or constant patterns. UL 464 and UL 1971 listed, ULC listed, CSFM approved. Synchronization with compatible Genesis signal sources exceeds NFPA 72 requirements.
Key features
- 520 Hz low frequency horn: meets NFPA 72 and UL 464 requirements for commercial sleeping areas
- Constant current draw across all candela settings: simplifies NAC circuit calculations and allows field changes without recalculating
- Backward compatible with Xenon strobes: mix LED and legacy devices on the same circuit without wholesale replacement
- Universal room-side wiring plate (included): pre-wire and check continuity before snapping the device into place
- Fits standard electrical boxes: 1-gang, 2-gang, 4-inch square, and 4-inch octagon (with GOCT adapter)
- Field-configurable sound and light output: change candela and dB settings without removing the device from the wall
Mounting and compatibility
Wall mounts to the included GRSW wiring plate. Compatible with Kidde Commercial intelligent and conventional fire alarm control panels, CC1S/MCC1S signal modules, and booster/auxiliary power supplies for synchronization. Optional G4T trim plates and surface-mount boxes available.
