The Kidde Genesis LED EG1 wall strobe delivers visible mass notification on existing NAC circuits without dedicated wiring runs. Field-selectable 15, 30, or 75 candela output covers a range of room sizes from a single compact appliance, and the amber lens with ALERT marking distinguishes mass notification signals from fire alarm signals at a glance.
Built for the commercial installer
The EG1 mounts to standard 4" square, single-gang, or double-gang boxes with no special hardware. LED technology means no replacement bulbs and consistent flash output across the listed 16-33V DC operating range. Synchronization is built in - units on the same NAC circuit flash in unison using the Genesis signal protocol, no external sync modules required for basic installations. UL 1971 and ULC-S526 listed for strobe applications.
Key features
- Field-selectable candela: 15, 30, or 75 cd - set at install, no re-ordering for different room coverage
- Amber lens with ALERT marking: distinguishes mass notification from fire alarm per code requirements
- Standard box mounting: fits 4" square, single-gang, and double-gang boxes
- Built-in synchronization: Genesis signal protocol keeps all strobes on the circuit in lockstep
- LED strobe technology: no bulb replacements, consistent output over the full rated voltage range
- Compact wall mount design: low-profile housing minimizes visual impact in finished spaces
System requirements
Connects to any supervised 16-33V DC NAC circuit (regulated or filtered wave rectified). Wire gauge 12-18 AWG. For synchronized operation, all devices on the circuit must use the Genesis signal protocol or a compatible sync module (SM-120R, SM-12/24, GSA-SD).
