Kidde | Genesis Multi-Candela Wall Strobe, White Housing, No Markings, Amber Lens | G1WN-VMA

No reviews yet Write a Review
SKU:
KD-G1WN-VMA

The Genesis G1WN-VMA puts selectable multi-candela strobe output on any standard one-gang box - no special backbox, no complex wiring. Field-configurable at 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd from a simple switch on the back, so one SKU covers multiple AHJ-required output levels without swapping hardware.

Built for the commercial fire alarm installer

White housing with no markings and an amber lens makes this the right fit for ECS (Emergency Communication Systems) and MNS (Mass Notification Systems) applications where visible-only signaling is required outside the fire alarm circuit. FullLight Xenon technology delivers uniform light output across the full lens surface. UL 1971 and ULC S526 listed, ADA compliant.

Key features

  • Field-selectable candela: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd output from a single switch - one SKU, multiple coverage zones
  • Mounts on standard one-gang box (2-1/2" deep) or optional surface mount box (Model 27193)
  • Synchronized flash via Genesis Signal Master or compatible FACP - eliminates seizure-risk flash patterns
  • Low-profile design: 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 13/16" signal body fits tight spaces above doors and in corridors
  • Screw terminals accept #18 to #12 AWG for fast, clean terminations
  • UL 1971, UL 1638, ULC S525/S526, CSFM, MEA listed

System compatibility

Synchronizes with VM and VS Series life safety systems, FX Series fire alarm control panels, and Genesis Signal Master (EG1M-RM). Compatible synchronization modules: GSA-CC1S, GSA-MCC1S, SIGA-CC2A, GSA-MCC2A. Compatible power supplies: MIRBPS6A, MIRBPS10A, APS6A, APS10A.

What candela settings does the G1WN-VMA support?
The G1WN-VMA is field-configurable at 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela via a switch on the back of the unit. One SKU covers multiple coverage requirements without swapping hardware.
Does this strobe need a synchronization module?
If connected to a compatible FACP (VM, VS, or FX Series), the panel provides sync directly. Otherwise, use the Genesis Signal Master (EG1M-RM) or a compatible module (GSA-CC1S, SIGA-CC2A).
What box does this mount on?
Standard one-gang electrical box, minimum 2-1/2" deep. For surface-mount applications, use the Model 27193 surface mount box or equivalent.
Is the amber lens for fire alarm or mass notification?
Amber lens is for ECS (Emergency Communication Systems) and MNS (Mass Notification Systems) where visible signaling must be distinct from fire alarm. Clear lens models available for standard fire alarm.
Can this strobe be used outdoors?
No. The G1WN-VMA is rated for indoor use only, with an operating temperature range of 32°F to 120°F. For outdoor applications, see the Genesis Outdoor Strobes line.
What wire gauge does this accept?
Screw terminals accept #18 to #12 AWG (0.75 mm² to 2.5 mm²).
