The strong EG1VWF is a compact, wall-mounted LED strobe for visual-only fire alarm notification. Part of the Genesis LED EG1 Series, it delivers field-selectable 15, 30, or 75 candela output from a single SKU - meaning fewer part numbers on the shelf and faster system design for the installer.

Built for the commercial installer

High-efficiency LED technology drops current draw well below legacy Xenon strobes, reducing NAC circuit loading and freeing up capacity for more devices per loop. The white housing integrates cleanly into finished corridors, lobbies, and office spaces where a discreet visual presence matters. UL 1971 listed and ADA compliant (28 CFR Part 36), so the strobe meets code requirements for visual notification in commercial occupancies.

Does the EG1VWF include a horn?
No. The EG1VWF is a strobe-only device for visual notification in areas where audible signaling is not required or is handled by a separate horn. For combined horn-strobe models, see the Genesis LED EG1 horn-strobe series (EG1AV models).
How do I change the candela setting?
Remove the cover and slide the candela selector switch to 15, 30, or 75 cd. The device does not need to be removed from the wall. The selected setting is visible through a window on the left side of the device after the cover is replaced.
Can I mix Genesis LED strobes with older Xenon strobes on the same NAC circuit?
Yes. Genesis LED EG1 Series devices are backwards compatible with legacy Xenon-based Genesis strobes and can share the same NAC circuit and synchronization source.
What electrical boxes does the EG1VWF fit?
It mounts directly on a standard 1-gang surface or flush electrical box with no trim ring needed. For 2-gang, 4-inch square, or 4-inch octagon boxes, use the optional EG1TW (white) or EG1TR (red) trim ring.
Does this strobe meet UL synchronization requirements?
Yes. All Genesis LED EG1 strobes exceed UL synchronization requirements (within 10 milliseconds over a two-hour period) when used with a compatible Kidde synchronization source such as CC Series signal modules or compatible fire alarm control panels.
Is the EG1VWF ADA compliant?
Yes. All models in the Genesis LED EG1 Series comply with ADA requirements per the Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 28, Part 36, Final Rule.
