The Genesis GCVWA-A is a mass notification and emergency communications (ECS/MNS) ceiling strobe built for commercial applications that need visual differentiation from standard fire alarm signals. The amber lens and ALERT marking distinguish mass notification alerts from life safety strobes at a glance, keeping occupants and first responders aligned during multi-signal events.
Built for the commercial installer
Genesis ceiling strobes mount flush to any standard North American 4" square electrical box (2-1/8" deep) with no extension ring or trim plate required. The low-profile housing protrudes just 1.6" from the ceiling with concealed mounting screws that blend with any ceiling finish. Field wiring terminals accept #18 to #12 AWG conductors for clean integration into existing NAC runs. UL 1638, CAN/ULC-S526, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 205 listed.
Key features
- Field-configurable candela output: select 13, 26, 65, or 82 cd without removing the device from the ceiling
- FullLight strobe technology: delivers smooth, even light distribution that exceeds UL 1971 and ULC-S526 requirements
- 30% slimmer profile than comparable signals - protrudes only 1.6" from the ceiling
- Amber lens with ALERT marking for clear visual separation between ECS/MNS and fire alarm signals
- Synchronization support: meets UL requirements when paired with a Genesis Signal Master (G1M-RM) or compatible sync source
- Low current draw minimizes NAC circuit loading, supporting more devices per circuit
System requirements
Operates on regulated 16-33 Vdc or unfiltered 16-33 Vdc FWR from a listed fire alarm control panel or NAC power supply. Synchronization requires a Genesis Signal Master (G1M-RM) or compatible source (SIGA-CC1S, SIGA-MCC1S, SIGA-CC2A, SIGA-MCC2A, BPS6A, BPS10A, APS6A, APS10A, iO Series, or Fireshield Plus).
