The EG1VRF is a compact, wall-mounted LED strobe built for commercial fire alarm systems where audible signaling is not required. With field-selectable 15, 30, or 75 candela output, one SKU covers multiple spacing and code requirements - fewer part numbers on the truck, fewer callbacks over mis-specified devices.
Built for the commercial installer
Part of the Genesis LED EG1 Series, the EG1VRF runs on standard NAC circuits (16-33 VDC or VFWR) and draws just 24 mA at any candela setting. That low current keeps power budgets tight and allows more devices per NAC loop before hitting supply limits. UL 1971, UL 1638, UL 464, and CSFM listed. FCC compliant. Red housing with FIRE marking for code-compliant visual-only notification in ADA applications, quiet zones, and areas already served by audible devices.
Key features
- Selectable 15/30/75 cd output: one SKU covers multiple spacing requirements per NFPA 72
- Low current draw (24 mA DC at all settings): maximizes device count per NAC circuit
- Universal mounting plate: fits 1-gang, 2-gang, 4" octagon, and 4" square electrical boxes
- Snap-in polarized connector: speeds field wiring and prevents reversed polarity
- Synchronizable: works with Kidde CC Series signal modules and both Intelligent and Conventional control panels
- LED technology: longer service life and lower current draw than legacy Xenon strobes
System compatibility
Synchronizes with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster Power Supplies, Auxiliary Power Supplies, and both Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels. Maximum 20Ī© loop resistance between any two synchronized devices. Accepts 12-18 AWG field wiring.
