The Kidde Genesis LED EGC Series ceiling-mount horn-strobe delivers efficient notification on commercial fire alarm systems while keeping current draw low enough to run more devices per NAC circuit. Field-selectable 15, 30, 75, or 115 candela output and high/low horn settings let installers dial in coverage and audibility per AHJ requirements without swapping SKUs.

LED technology cuts current draw significantly compared to legacy Xenon strobes, translating to longer wire runs, more devices per circuit, and fewer booster power supplies on the job. The EGC mounts to 4" square, 4" octagon, single-gang, or double-gang boxes using the included GP10 room-side wiring plate - rough-in the plate, pull wire, check continuity, then snap the device on at trim-out. No visible mounting screws.

Backward compatible with Genesis Xenon strobes on the same NAC circuit, so you can phase in LED devices during retrofits without ripping out what's already on the ceiling. Synchronization works with Kidde CC Series signal modules, booster and auxiliary power supplies, and both intelligent and conventional FACPs.

Can I mix Genesis LED and legacy Xenon strobes on the same NAC circuit?
Yes. Genesis LED EGC devices are backward compatible with Genesis Xenon strobes on the same NAC circuit. You can phase in LED devices during retrofits without removing existing Xenon units or re-wiring the circuit.
What candela settings are available and how do I select them?
The EGC horn-strobe offers 15, 30, 75, and 115 candela, field-selectable at the device. No need to order separate models for different coverage requirements.
Does the Genesis EGC work with my existing fire alarm control panel?
