The Genesis LED EG1 horn-strobe delivers audible and visual notification in a compact wall-mount package that sits barely an inch off the wall. High-efficiency LED technology draws significantly less current than legacy xenon strobes - fewer NAC circuits, fewer power supplies, lighter conduit runs on the job.
Built for the commercial fire installer
Field-selectable 15, 30, or 75 cd LED strobe output and high/low dB horn settings let you configure the device on the wall without pulling it off the box. Temporal (T3) or constant horn patterns are switch-selectable. Genesis LED synchronization keeps all strobes on the circuit within NFPA 72 flash timing requirements. UL 1971, UL 1638, and UL 464 listed. ULC-S525 and ULC-S526 listed for Canadian installations. ADA compliant.
Key features
- Ultra-low current draw: LED strobe and efficient horn reduce NAC circuit loading, often eliminating the need for additional power supplies
- Field-selectable candela: 15, 30, or 75 cd output changed via slide switch without removing the device from the wall
- Backward compatible: mixes on the same NAC circuit and field of view with legacy xenon Genesis strobes for easy retrofits
- Compact single-gang mounting: fits standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 4" octagon, and 4" square boxes (min 1-1/2" deep)
- Under-cover diagnostic test points: validate the NAC circuit without dismounting the device
- Quick-swap covers: change FIRE/ALERT/plain marking or red/white color in the field without rewiring
System requirements
Operates on 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR notification appliance circuits. Compatible with Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster and Auxiliary Power Supplies, and Kidde Intelligent and Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panels for synchronized strobe operation. Wire size 12-18 AWG.
