Twist-and-lock mounting drops installation and service time on every job, and the detector runs on Kidde's standard intelligent bases — standard, relay, isolator, or audible — so one base stock covers the whole job. A bright dual-color LED flashes red in alarm for at-a-glance status from the ground, and on-board self-diagnostics flag a dirty optical chamber before it becomes a nuisance-alarm callback.
