The Kidde Genesis WG4 outdoor weatherproof strobe puts visible fire notification on exterior walls and ceilings without compromising on output or reliability. UL 1638 listed for outdoor use and UL 1971 listed for indoor, it handles parking garages, loading docks, covered walkways, and other wet or harsh environments where standard indoor strobes fall short.

Built for the commercial installer

Rated from -40°F to 151°F with 0-95% humidity tolerance, the WG4 strobe handles extreme conditions that push indoor-only appliances past their limits. Four field-selectable candela settings let you dial in the right output per zone without stocking multiple SKUs. Candela selection stays visible through a sealed viewport on the front of the device - no need to open the cover to verify the setting after install.

System requirements

Requires a Model 449 (gray) or 74347U (red) outdoor-rated surface mount box for exterior or wet-area installations. For indoor dry locations, a standard 4-inch square by 1.5-inch deep electrical box works. Operates on 24 VDC or 24 VFWR nominal from any compatible FACP NAC circuit.
