SKU:
KD-GSA-CC1

The Kidde GSA-CC1 is an addressable single input riser module with a built-in ring tone generator. Connected to the SLC loop of a Kidde intelligent fire alarm panel, it switches a single signal or audio circuit on command - no external tone generator required, no extra wiring for coded signaling.

Built for the commercial fire alarm installer

Part of Kidde's intelligent addressable module family, the GSA-CC1 mounts in a standard North American 4-inch square electrical box and addresses via dual rotary switches on the front of the module. Class AB wiring support and power-limited circuits keep the installation compliant with NFPA 72 requirements.

Key features

  • Built-in ring tone generator: eliminates the need for a separate tone generator when activating signal or audio circuits
  • Single input riser switching: connects and switches a single signal or audio circuit from the panel
  • Class AB wiring support: maintains circuit supervision with a single wire pair to the module
  • Rotary switch addressing: set the device address with two rotary switches on the front - same method across the Kidde intelligent module family
  • Standard mounting: fits North American 4-inch square electrical boxes, no special hardware required
  • Bicolor LED indicator: flashing green for normal operation, red when active - quick visual confirmation during commissioning

System requirements

Requires a Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panel with an SLC loop. The module connects to the panel's signaling line circuit and draws power from the SLC. One rotary-switch device address required per module.

What does the built-in ring tone generator do?
The ring tone generator produces coded signaling tones, eliminating the need for a separate external tone generator. When the Kidde intelligent panel commands the module, it activates the ring tone and switches the connected signal or audio circuit.
What fire alarm panels is the GSA-CC1 compatible with?
The GSA-CC1 is compatible with Kidde intelligent fire alarm control panels that support rotary-addressed SLC devices, including Kidde FX-series panels.
How is the device address set?
Using two rotary switches on the front of the module. Set the TENS switch (0-12) and the ONES switch (0-9) to assign the device address on the SLC loop.
What electrical box does this mount in?
The GSA-CC1 mounts in a standard North American 4-inch square electrical box - either a 2-1/2" deep 2-gang box or a 1-1/2" deep standard 4-inch square box. No special mounting hardware required.
What does Class AB mean for this module?
Class AB wiring allows the module to maintain circuit supervision using a single wire pair. It provides a balance between installation simplicity and circuit integrity for the connected signal or audio circuit.
