The Kidde Genesis LED EGC-VMH is a high-candela ceiling mount strobe for commercial fire alarm notification circuits. Six field-selectable candela settings (95, 115, 135, 150, 177, and 185 cd) let you match output to NFPA 72 and ADA spacing requirements without stocking multiple models or returning to the supply house.
Built for the commercial installer
LED technology draws significantly less current than xenon strobes at equivalent candela output, stretching NAC circuit capacity and reducing the need for additional booster power supplies on long wire runs. The patented Genesis low-profile design sits closer to the ceiling than standard appliances, keeping a clean look in finished spaces. UL 1971 and ULC-S526-17 listed.
Key features
- Field-selectable high candela: six settings (95-185 cd) cover large open spaces and high-ceiling applications from one SKU
- Low-current LED strobe: maximizes devices per NAC circuit compared to xenon equivalents
- Built-in synchronization: synchronizes across circuits without an external sync module
- Standard electrical box mounting: fits 4-inch square, 3.5" or 4" octagonal, or single-gang with adapter plate
- Low-profile design: patented Genesis housing minimizes projection from the ceiling
System requirements
Operates on 16-33 VDC regulated and filtered from a compatible FACP or NAC power supply. Wiring accepts 12-18 AWG. Indoor use only.
