SKU:
KD-G4SEWN-B

The Genesis LED G4SE Strobe Expander adds a synchronized visual alert to any Genesis audible-only notification appliance without replacing the existing device. Mount the G4SE directly behind a compatible Genesis horn, speaker, or chime on a standard 4-inch box, connect to the NAC circuit, and the strobe operates in sync with the building's fire alarm system.

Built for the commercial fire alarm installer

UL 1971 and ULC S526 listed for indoor, dry locations. The G4SE runs on 16-33 VDC or VFWR from the existing NAC - no separate power supply required. LED technology keeps current draw low (28 mA DC / 36 mA FWR), which matters on long notification circuits where every milliamp counts. Synchronization is handled through the Genesis Sync Protocol via Kidde CC Series signal modules, booster and auxiliary power supplies, or intelligent and conventional control panels.

Key features

  • Adds strobe to existing Genesis audibles: pairs with Genesis LED horns, speakers, chimes, and mini-horns without replacing the appliance
  • Blue 30 cd output for mass notification, alert, or non-fire signaling applications
  • Low current draw: 28 mA (DC) / 36 mA (FWR) - maximizes devices per NAC circuit
  • Standard 4-inch box mounting: flush-mount on North-American 4" square box, at least 1 " deep
  • Genesis Sync Protocol: synchronized strobing across the circuit without add-on modules at each device
  • UL 1971 / ULC S526 listed for code-compliant commercial fire alarm installations

Compatible appliances

The G4SE pairs with Genesis LED wall-mount horns, horn-strobes (audible portion), speakers, speaker-strobes (audible portion), chimes, chime-strobes (audible portion), and mini-horns. Confirm compatibility with the specific Genesis model on the job before ordering.

What Genesis appliances does the G4SE Strobe Expander work with?
The G4SE pairs with Genesis LED wall-mount horns, horn-strobes, speakers, speaker-strobes, chimes, chime-strobes, and mini-horns. Mounts directly behind the audible appliance on the same 4-inch box.
Does the G4SE require a separate power supply?
No. The G4SE runs off the existing NAC (Notification Appliance Circuit) at 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR. No additional power supply run is needed.
What candela output does the blue lens model provide?
The blue lens G4SE (G4SEWN-B) provides a fixed 30 cd light output. Blue lens models are commonly used for mass notification, alert, or non-fire signaling applications.
How does strobe synchronization work?
Uses the Genesis Sync Protocol. Requires a compatible source: Kidde CC Series signal modules, booster/auxiliary power supplies, or intelligent and conventional panels. Max loop resistance: 20 Ī©.
Can the G4SE be installed outdoors?
No. The G4SE is listed for indoor, dry locations only. Operating temperature range is 32°F to 120°F (0°C to 49°C). For outdoor applications, see the Genesis Outdoor Strobes series.
What box size and depth is required for mounting?
The G4SE requires a standard North-American 4-inch square electrical box, at least 1½ inches deep. It mounts flush with the box and positions the strobe-to-box center at 3.9 inches.
