The Genesis LED G4SE Strobe Expander adds a synchronized visual notification element to an existing Genesis LED audible device - horn, speaker, or chime - without requiring a separate NAC circuit or additional backbox. The strobe module mounts directly behind the audible device on the same 4" square box, sharing the existing wiring.

Built for the commercial fire alarm installer

The G4SEWN-R (white housing, red lens, no ALERT marking) produces 15 cd output and synchronizes automatically with other Genesis devices on the same circuit. Sync sources include Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster Power Supplies, Auxiliary Power Supplies, and Intelligent or Conventional Control Panels. UL 1971 and ULC-S526 listed. Indoor dry locations only.

What does the G4SE Strobe Expander do?

Does the G4SEWN-R have ALERT marking on the lens?
No. The G4SEWN-R is the no-marking model (white housing, red lens). For mass notification applications requiring ALERT marking, see the G4SEWA-R.
What candela output does the red lens produce?
15 cd. Red lens models produce a fixed 15 cd output. White lens models in the G4SE family offer field-selectable candela settings (15/30/75/95/110/135/150/177/185 cd).
What electrical box does this require?
A standard North-American 4" square box, at least 1-1/2" (38 mm) deep. The strobe expander mounts flush behind the Genesis LED audible device on the same box.
Can the G4SE synchronize with other Genesis devices?
Yes. It synchronizes via Kidde CC Series Signal Modules, Booster Power Supplies, Auxiliary Power Supplies, or Kidde Intelligent and Conventional Control Panels. Max loop resistance of 20 ohms between any two synchronized devices.
Does this work in outdoor or wet locations?
No. The G4SE Strobe Expander is rated for indoor dry locations only (32-120°F, 0-93% RH). For outdoor notification, see the Genesis Outdoor Strobes line.
