The Kidde CS405-8A-T is a Genesis Series wall mount fire alarm strobe with included trim plate, built for commercial notification circuits. It uses Kidde's patented FullLight strobe technology to produce smooth, even light distribution that exceeds UL 1971 and ULC S526 requirements - no bulky specular reflectors or harsh hot spots. Red housing with FIRE marking and clear lens.

Built for the commercial fire installer

Genesis strobes mount flush on any standard one-gang surface or flush electrical box (2-1/2" deep minimum). The included trim plate covers oversized openings on one-gang, two-gang, four-inch square, and octagonal boxes without additional hardware. Pre-assembled with captive mounting screws, the finished install shows no visible hardware. UL 1971, UL 1638, ULC S525/S526, CSFM, FCC, and MEA listed. ADA compliant per Code of Federal Regulation Chapter 28 Part 36.

System requirements

Compatible with VM and VS Series life safety systems and FX Series fire alarm control panels. Synchronization requires an optional EG1M Genesis Signal Master. Strobes require continuous voltage on the notification appliance circuit (NAC).
