The Kidde Genesis LED EG4AVRF is a wall-mount horn-strobe that combines audible and visual notification in a single compact appliance. Field-selectable candela settings (15, 30, 75, or 110 cd) and switchable tone patterns (continuous or temporal TC3) let installers configure the device for the application without swapping hardware.
Built for the commercial fire installer
Genesis LED appliances run on 16-33 VDC regulated or filtered full-wave rectified power, covering the range of NAC circuits found on commercial fire alarm control panels. LED technology draws less current than legacy Xenon strobes while maintaining backward compatibility with existing Genesis wiring - swap in place without rewiring. UL 1971 and UL 464 listed in the US; ULC-S525 and ULC-S526 listed in Canada.
Key features
- Field-selectable candela: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd - set on-site to match the space without ordering a different model
- Room-side wiring with GP10 plate (included): wire and test from the room side without pulling the device off the wall
- Low current draw: LED technology reduces NAC circuit loading, supporting more devices per loop
- Synchronization ready: compatible with Kidde CC Series sync modules for code-compliant synchronized flash across zones
- Flexible mounting: fits single-gang, 2-gang, 3.5" octagonal, and 4" square boxes (1.5" minimum depth)
- Backward compatible: drops into existing Genesis wiring - no re-pull required on retrofits
System requirements
Requires a fire alarm control panel (FACP) with a compatible NAC circuit providing 16-33 VDC or 16-33 VFWR. For synchronized strobe operation, pair with Kidde CC Series sync modules. Wiring accepts 12-18 AWG conductors.
